PPP launches anti-Musharraf protest in AJK

Besides the workers of PPP, good number of PSF and PYO members also participate in protest

MUZAFFARABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)  Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter (AJK)  on Saturday took to the streets to stage a protest against former  President Pervez Musharraf  for accusing Asif Ali Zardari of murdering Benazir Bhutto.

The anti-Musharraf protest was led by President PPPAJK chapter Chaudhry Latif Akbar from Centre Press Club to Burhan Wani Chowk

Besides the workers of PPP and good number of Peoples Students Federation (PSF)  and Peoples Youth Organisation (PYO) members  were also present in the protest.

The  angry workers of PPP were shouting full throated anti-Musharraf and pro-Zardari slogans. Banners and placards carried by the protesters were inscribed with the slogans like ‘ arrest Musharraf  and killer Musharraf killer.

While addressing the protesters President PPP AJK Akbar said that Benazir was assassinated in Musharraf’s era when he was the President of Pakistan.

“ If Musharraf knew the killers of Benazir then why he remained silent for more than ten years. Why he did not  start the investigation of Benazir’s killing in his tenure as President of Pakistan.  He is feeling the heat and any time he would be presented before the court in Benazir’s murder case,” PPPAJK President Akbar added.

The PPP AJK President Akbar further said that it is shameful how falsely Musharraf is blaming Zardari for killing his wife and the first woman prime minister of Muslim world.

“ If Musharraf is true then he should come Pakistan and prove the allegations about the murder of Benazir in courts,” PPP AJK President Akbar added.
