Photos leaked on China's Weibo show upcoming Samsung Note 8 in all its glory

The phone is expected to be launched at Galaxy note event on August 23

Thanks to all the renditions and leaks, by now we all have a fair share of idea what the upcoming Samsung Note 8 would look like.



Now, just a week before its expected launch, new images of the Note 8 have surfaced on China’s Twitter-like platform showing the upcoming Samsung’s flagship device in all its glory.



Although the authenticity of the device featured in the photos could not be verified, the design is in accordance with earlier renditions and leaked images of Note 8.



The device shown in the photos seems quite thin which fits the earlier description that the phone will be just 8.5mm thick.



The photos also show Note 8 having a huge infinity display, and smaller bezels than its ill-fated fire-prone predecessor Galaxy Note 7.



If we are to believe that the photos are of the genuine device, then it seems that Samsung has decided to keep fingerprint sensor on back of the device right next to the rare camera, same as on Galaxy S8. The decision to place fingerprint sensor on the back of S8 drew ire from some customers as it becomes little difficult for users, especially those with smaller palms, to put their finger on the sensor while using the phone with one hand.



The phone is slated to be launched at Galaxy note event on August 23.

In terms of what the phone boasts, we still don’t know much other than that it will come with a dual-camera system and hopefully a non-exploding battery. Given last year’s horrendous Note 7 recall and the damage it did to the Note brand, Samsung has no choice but to deliver a flawless Note device.
