
Transporters and commuters protested against the weekly closures, saying that over 350 stations had been closed and the public was facing severe difficulties. The CNG Stations Association call for strike was recently shut down due
to public concern, despite the fact that petrol prices
have also escalated. “Our business is going bust because of the weekly closures. I might have to fold if this continues,” said Multan CNG station owner, Munawwar.
