This was stated by NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry while chairing a fortnightly meeting to review latest progress on the Monitoring and Evaluation System (MES) at NAB Headquarters, read a statement issued by the bureau on Thursday.
Chaudhry said that NAB is committed to working with absolute professionalism, transparency and on merit with the realisation that eradication of corruption was a national duty.
During the meeting, the advisor to the chairman on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) gave a presentation on the latest progress on the working of MES in NAB and its efficacy in future.
He said that MES caters to the needs of all departments since it has salient features of maintenance of data at each stage including complaint entry, complaint verification, inquiry, investigation, prosecution stage and record proceedings of Regional Board Meetings and Executive Board Meetings including case brief, decisions made.
It also has the ability to analyse data in qualitative and quantitative terms having warnings and alarms system for violators.
The NAB chief said that monitoring and evaluation system in NAB tracks implementation and outputs systematically, and measure the effectiveness of performance which helps in enhancing the operational, monitoring and evaluation capabilities of NAB.
Moreover, he said that MES provide the necessary data to guide strategic planning and helps improving performance and to achieve results to improve current and future management of outputs, outcomes and impact.
Chaudhry said that the MES is an important management tool to track progress and facilitates in decision making as well as establishes links between the past, present and future actions.
He directed all concerned departments for further coordinate and decisions were taken should be implemented in letter and spirit in order to further improvement in institutionalising the support and supervision at different levels of management in NAB.
