Demonstration: Growers protest in Dadu

Farmers blocked traffic from Karachi, Hyderabad and Larkana for two hours.

DADU: Farmers organised a protest at the Indus Highway, burning tyres near wheat-selling centres in Khudabad on Thursday. They blocked traffic from Karachi, Hyderabad and Larkana for two hours.

Farmers complained that staff at the centres were selling wheat to favourites. “They are not providing the wheat to everyone, leaving it out in the open so millions of rupees worth are going to waste,” said a farmer.
