Beware of this latest WhatsApp scam
This would solve a major problem for many users, as earlier they had to share files that are not compatible via cloud services such as iCloud or Google Drive or convert the files in a supported format.
Further, the supposed update will enable users to share photos and GIFs without being compressed. However, videos might still need to be compressed as there’s size limitation. iOS users will be able to send a file of maximum 128MB in size while the limit for those using WhatsApp om Android devices is 100MB.
