WhatsApp just rolled out a new version of its messaging app that would allow iOS users to add photo filters, get automatic albums in chats and send quick replies to messages directly from their home screen.

10 hidden WhatsApp features you didn't know existed

The update revamps user experience for iPhone users who can now add colour filters to photos, videos and GIFs. The feature has been embedded directly within the WhatsApp camera, however, users can also edit files already on their smartphone.

WhatsApp is initially offering five filter options that are Pop, B&W, Cool, Chrome, and Film. However, more filters expected in the future.

WhatsApp’s latest feature could make messaging much easier

Another major update is the new album option for photos received on the popular messaging platform. WhatsApp will now organise photos by grouping any collection of four or more photos or videos into a tile display that can be viewed within the message thread.

Lastly, the messaging platform will now offer instant replies. iPhone users will now be able to reply instantly to messages simply with a quick right swipe, speeding up the chat process.

WhatsApp latest update is now available for iOS users, while Android users are in line for an update sometime in the near future.
