YouTube video of the day: Overload - Batti

Overload's Batti is a fairly decent single with a weak video.

From their Pappu Saeein days of being a percussion heavy band to their Meesha Shafi days, the ‘Loudest band in Pakistan’ has had it good for a while, but it seem like their reign is over.

Overload recently released a single, Batti, which features the band’s founding member and drummer now on vocals. Yes, Farhad Humayun after an overdose of experimentation finally decided to have a go at vocals himself.

The single itself can pass off as fairly decent, with the video falling just short of amusing. It has plenty of bouncing around, lights and the very amusing bottle solo.

Video Rating: Thumbs down for a weak song with a weaker video

sultan bukhari | 12 years ago | Reply Oh come on! Its great music. Who cares about these controversies and copyright claims. Ive bee following the career of many musicians including Farhad Hamayon. Overload is a band that will go down in history as one that carved out a new genre for music in pakistan and of course Farhad is is force to be reckoned with. He's rebellious and wont settle for less. The song Batti is based on the older version Its evident. But its one helluva track. We've been partying with friends all night with the track playing on repeat here in Glasgow. I saw them live in Oslo in 2006. They can really put up a show. Btw it is playing on youtube, vimeo and the band's website www.overloadbeat.com. Dont stop the ROCK OVERLOAD!!!!!! Ta!
