He said that many Pakistani companies have started business with Ghana where investment policies are as good and liberal as in Pakistan, stated a press release.
Butt, who is also the patron of the Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders, said this while talking to a delegation led by Comsats Executive Director Junaid Zaidi.
Talking about Ghana’s economy, he said that it has a diverse and rich resource base, including manufacturing and export of digital technology, automotive and ship construction and resources such as hydrocarbons and industrial minerals, which have given Ghana one of the highest Gross Domestic Products (GDP) per capita in West Africa.
“Ghana is developing at a fast pace and its GDP growth is impressive, therefore it is in need of experts in every field, which is a golden opportunity for Pakistan,” said Butt.
Pakistan could earn hefty foreign exchange by exporting manpower to Ghana, he said, adding that the country offered numerous business opportunities for the business community.
Speaking on the occasion, Zaidi and other officials said that both the countries were also cooperating in the fields of science, technology and defence production.
“We have planned to take a delegation to Ghana soon to further cement the ties,” Zaidi said.
