Easy communication: Local Eye database server starts officially

Project meant for promoting easy communications between local body representatives and police.

LAHORE: The centralised computer operation room and the main database server of Local Eye was formally inaugurated at the Capital City Police Office, Lahore on Monday.

Lahore CCPO Amin Wains inaugurated the newly established Ops Room and Local Eye server. He said both projects were part of IT Policing.

Two years ago, the first-ever Ops Room in Lahore was set up at Model Town SP Office that was then replicated at the SP City Office. He said the CCPO could now monitor all the activity, progress on a complaint or a case while sitting at his office.

Integrated with the Ops Room, the main server of Local Eye is meant for promoting easy communications between local body representatives and police. The LG representatives have been registered with the EMI numbers of their Android-based phones.

The representatives can arrange meetings through a single click with any police officer, including the CCPO.
