Investment seminar in Malaysia planned

Top-ranked Pakistani companies to woo Malaysian investors.

The Board of Investment (BOI), in collaboration with the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA), will be holding an investment seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on March 31, according to BOI Chairman Saleem H Mandviwalla.


Addressing a press conference at the Media Center of Press Information Department (PID) on Thursday, Mandviwalla said the seminar will woo potential Malaysian investors seeking lucrative investment opportunities in the power, IT, education, construction and Halal food sectors in Pakistan.

Halal meat and dairy demand. Pakistan can easily export $1 billion per annum Halal meat to Malaysia if abattoirs are upgraded to international standards, said Mandviwalla.

More than thirty top ranked Pakistani companies will be attending the seminar to interact with approximately 250 Malaysian counterparts.
