Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has warned that keeping statistics collected daily in the house and population census secret will create apprehensions. "I don't ask for the release of the complete data. But the number of houses and people in a particular block should be shared," he told journalists in Jamshoro on Saturday.
He believes sharing this information will reduce 'negative perceptions' about the process. He said filling census forms in pencil is a rule violation, adding that clear instructions should be given to staff regarding this.
He asked census staff to ensure that no resident of Sindh is left uncounted. Shah expressed hope that the staff will ensure transparency.
