HARIPUR: The driver of a car was killed while two others were critically injured when a speeding car crashed into a roadside tree on the GT Road near Model City, some 12 kilometers from Haripur on Sunday.
Police and eyewitnesses said that a car was travelling to Abbottabad from Rawalpindi. Near Sira- e-Gadai, the driver tried to overtake another vehicle and lost control of his car. The car crashed into a tree killing the driver on the spot while two others, reportedly brothers, sustained multiple injuries.
The dead and injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital in Haripur. The doctors there referred them to the Ayub Teaching Hospital in Abbottabad. The injured brothers were later identified as Faizul Hasan and Turabul Haq, residents of Chamba Pind.
