KARACHI: Pakistan Customs claimed on Friday to have foiled a smuggling bid of one kilogramme heroin worth millions of rupees at the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.

According to customs officials, they arrested two suspected men, Imran and Majid, who were set to leave for Colombo from Karachi with 1kg heroin hidden in a suitcase.



According to reports, the high quality drug is worth Rs10 million in international markets.

Customs officials foil bid to smuggle heroin

A case has been registered against the accused and investigation is underway, reports added.

Earlier this week, customs officials claimed to have foiled a smuggling bid while recovering narcotics worth millions of rupees. The suspects allegedly involved in the smuggling were also arrested.
