With millions of burger and pizza fans across India, there is no surprise that McDonald's and Domino's are two of the most popular fast-food companies in the country. Recently however, both have been beaten by a big margin by popular snacks company Haldiram's.
With an annual turnover of Rs4,000 crore, Haldiram's is now the biggest snacks maker in India.
Are Domino's, Pizza Hut set to be replaced?
The corporation, which initially began its venture with a small shop in Rajasthan's Bikaner, posted a 13 per cent revenue growth to cross Rs4,000 crore in FY16.
According to an Economic Times report, the halwai and snacks maker is now two times the size of Unilever's packaged food division or Nestle Maggi, and also larger than the India turnover of the two American fast food rivals Domino's and McDonald's put together.

Revenues for 2013-14 showed Haldriam's stood at Rs3,500 crore, which is more than the combined revenue of Domino's (Rs1,733 crore) and McDonald's (Rs1,390 crore). The report further added that popular two-minute snack, Maggi, netted a revenue of Rs1,200 crore but Haldiram's is almost three times bigger.
