SUKKUR: Railway traffic between Sindh and Punjab was suspended due to derailment of three wagons of a Punjab-bound goods train on Monday.

Three wagons of a Punjab-bound goods train were derailed when it was travelling between Daharki and Reti railway stations. As a result, railway traffic has been suspended between Sindh and Punjab. The technical team of the railway, along with heavy machinery, reached the spot and began repair work.

Lahore-bound Shalimar Express was stopped at Mirpur Mathelo railway station, while Karachi-bound Hazara Express was stranded at Reti Railway Station and Punjab-bound Hazara Express was stopped at Ghotki Railway Station. An official at railway control room, on condition of anonymity, said that it might take couple of hours more to restore the track.
