MUZAFFARABAD: A host of rallies, seminars and other activities have been planned to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) today.

According to plans issued, a human chain will be formed at the main entry and exit points at the Kohala and Mangla bridges in Azad Pattan and Barar Kot.

These entry points link AJK with the rest of Pakistan.

Rallies are also scheduled to be taken out in all districts of AJK to pay homage to martyrs of the Kashmir struggle.

Students are expected to shed light on the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people in debates and seminars due to be conducted in educational institutes of AJK.

Meanwhile, AJK President Sardar Masood Khan and Prime Minister Farooq Haider in their respective messages have punctuated the need for highlighting the sacrifices of the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Both leaders vowed to continue supporting the Kashmiri people till the final settlement of the dispute.

“On this day we want to send a message to Kashmiris [across the Line of Control] that they are not alone in their freedom struggle and that the people of Pakistan are with them,” said Member Kashmir Council Younas Mir.
