Boosting agriculture: Australia mission launches water schemes

ISLAMABAD: The Australian High Commission on Tuesday launched water programmes in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab in an effort to boost agriculture and water management.

The Australian High Commission has launched three projects worth AUS$15 million under its water programme in Pakistan to improve water management and boost agriculture productivity in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab.

The projects include Indus integrated water resource assessment and management, enhancing irrigation skills of farmers and integrated management groundwater.
