In an interview to a British daily, the boxer said he has dropped his father as part of his overhaul of his management team following the rift which has threatened to tear his family apart. "My dad is not going to be negotiating fights," said the Bolton boxer.
Amir's 'sex tape' leaked for revenge, says wife Faryal
"I love my family to bits, but my business is boxing and I'll have a different team to do that. My dad, my mum, I respect them. I want a family relationship with them rather than a business relationship. They'll be at my next fight, hopefully. I will invite them,” he added.
"When you mix the two it can get a bit difficult. That's why I want to keep them separate."
Amir has also removed his uncle Taz Khan as his consultant and Saj Mohammad, who was the best man at his wedding and his lifelong best friend, from his management team.
He brushed aside any speculation that he was past his prime and stated that despite being 30, now was the time he felt he could prove critics and cynics wrong. "I'm only 30 but I've been around so long that people probably think my best days are behind me. Not me. I feel I'm coming into my prime years, that this will be my time to really shine," he said.

The boxer has been rocked with public scandals one after the other. A bitter feud between his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, and his parents as well as sisters has been going public since December last year. On top of this, an alleged sex tape of the boxer was leaked online.
A few days earlier, Faryal gave Amir a final ultimatum to choose between her and his family after months of public rows. The ultimatum came as Faryal fears more sex tapes of the boxer will be released.
