Annual event: Three-day book fair at UMT begins  

More than 60 stalls were set up by national and international publishers

LAHORE: A three-day book fair started on Tuesday at the University of Management and Technology, where as many as 10,000 students and faculty members visited more than 60 stalls set up by national and international publishers. Renowned journalist Najam Sethi along with UMT Chief Librarian Rafique Awan, varsity’s American Dean Bob Wheeler, Dr Abdul Hameed and Dr Mumtaz Hussain Malik inaugurated the event at the UMT Johar Town campus. Numerous publishing houses, including Oxford, Atlas, Allied, Absco, Elan Vital, Second Wind, Knowledge Bank, Kims, Book Orchard, Aryan among others, have set up their stalls offering 25% to 40% overall discounts. The book fair will end on December 22.
