Red carpet round-up: Glamorous in gowns!

KARACHI: The who’s who of Bollywood gathered in Mumbai for a star-studded affair at the Lux Golden Rose Awards last weekend. While it is certainly not one of the biggest extravaganzas in B-town, each starlet still dressed to impress. From glitter to sequins, embellishments to sheer, there was no dearth of jaw-dropping gowns on the red carpet. Leading ladies Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone looked chic to boot in picture perfect ensembles.

The diva looked hot to trot in an emerald green gown by Lebanese designer, Ziad Nakad. As always, Katrina kept it minimal when it came to her hair and makeup. While we always want to see her with more makeup, she made the right decision this time as the focus remained on her shimmery outfit. We love how she tied a delicate black belt on her waist, highlighting her fit physique. Wearing a nude pout and straightened hair falling over one shoulder, she ticked all the right boxes on our fashion checklist.

Deepika Padukone



The Bajirao Mastani star certainly made headlines when she graced the red carpet in a beautiful Ralph & Russo lavender gown. The strapless number accentuated her collar bones, and trailed on the floor making her look every bit a princess. Looking nothing but sexy with a thigh-high slit, Deepika completed the look with sleek center parting and a pair of strappy metallic sandals.
