FAISALABAD: University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan has said it has become essential to adopt modern teaching methods based on technological support to raise interest of the students in studies.

He was addressing the participants of a workshop titled ‘Strategic Use of Digital Technology in University Instruction’ which was held at the varsity’s Senate Hall on Monday. Experts from University of California, USA, including Dr Thomas Rost and Dr James R Carey highlighted the methods of modern teaching to the participants.

“In the modern era, it is the need of the hour to adopt technology for teaching that ultimately raises the interest of the students in the studies,” Prof Iqrar said.

He said the university had started a massive online course mechanism and lectures were being uploaded on the internet.
