MUZAFFARABAD: The constantly rising number of dengue cases in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir (AJK) has put the health authorities on high alert.

As an emergency measure, an isolation ward has been established at Abbas Institute of Medical Science (AIMS) to treat the dengue patients.

Eleven dengue patients were under treatment at the quarantine ward, while 15 have been discharged after treatment, said the ward’s in-charge.

The AJK Health Secretary Khalid Hussain visited AIMS and inspected the arrangements made to treat dengue patients. He directed the health officials to adopt preventive measures as well to overcome the situation.
