Deadly disease: Another suspected Congo patient dies

If her test comes back positive, then she would the 13th victim in the country to succumb to this deadly disease

LAHORE: A suspected Congo patient died at the Jinnah Hospital on Saturday. Musrat Bibi, who was brought from Nankana Sahib, was admitted to the isolation ward on September 20 and was diagnosed with a severe haemorrhage fever two days ago.

Jinnah Hospital Communicable Diseases Director Dr Asim said the patient was brought to the healthcare facility a few days ago and died due to a haemorrhagic fever and blood clotting.

The health department has already sent her blood samples to the (NIH) Islamabad due to the symptoms of Congo fever. If her test comes back positive, then she would the 13th victim in the country to succumb to this deadly disease.
