QUETTA: The son of Balochistan's local government minister Sardar Mustafa Tareen was recovered near the Pak-Afghan area on Thursday.

According to Deputy Commissioner Pishin Abdul Wahid Kakar, Asad Tareen was recovered from Dolangi area of Gulistan tehsil, Kila Abdullah district. He was later shifted to Pishin district under tight security of Levies force.

Asad was abducted on May 20 this year from Tarata area when he was leaving Cadet College Pishin to return home.

Balochistan minister's son kidnapped

No further details of the release were shared relating to ransom or other demands of the abductors that may have been met.

Armed men intercepted Asad as he was driving home from his college and forcibly took him to an undisclosed location.
