Two killed in Pishin tribal clash

QUETTA:

Two people were killed and several others injured on Tuesday in an armed clash between two tribes in Shamshozai and Sigi areas in Pishin district.

District administration, police and Levies forces reached the scene and managed to bring the situation under control, preventing further bloodshed.

According to police sources, the clash began in the morning and intense gunfire continued for some time.

Among those killed on the spot were Haji Tahir and his father Haji Ali Muhammad Jan — both were the relatives of tribal leader Haji Muhammad Umar from Sigi.
