The Iesco spokesperson told the APP that 15 culprits were caught red-handed from Rawalpindi and two from Attock circles.
All of them were found involved in power theft through direct line and broken security strip of the meter, he added.
The Roshni sms service 8398 and helpline 118 is serving commendably in the entire Iesco region including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal and Attock circles, the official claimed.
This service is getting favourable response from the users, he said.
The spokesperson said that complaints regarding tariff, temporary connection, late receiving of electricity bills, over billing, low voltage complaint could also be lodged through this service beside information about power theft.
