Negligence: Authorities seize expired drugs 

The team took samples of seven suspected drugs from the private pharmacy of ATH and sent them to Peshawar for analysis

ABBOTTABAD: The health authorities seized expired drugs and injections from the casualty ward of Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH) on Friday. They have also recommended action against the hospital director.  “Health officials conducted surprise inspections of different wards of ATH,” provincial drug inspector Syed Aqib Ali Shah told journalists. “The health officials recovered some expired drugs and injections that are used as life-saving medicines from the casualty ward. A case has also been initiated against the hospital director and the relevant officials.” The team also took samples of seven suspected drugs from the private pharmacy of ATH and has sent them to Peshawar for analysis.
