Workplace safety: Seven injured in boiler explosion

LAHORE: Seven workers of a steel factory in Baghbanpura area were injured in a boiler explosion  on Friday. Rescue 1122 officials said the workers were on duty at Maqsood Iron factory in Daroghwala when the boiler exploded with a heavy noise causing a segment of the roof to collapse. Several workers were caught under the rubble. People from nearby buildings gathered at the scene and started the rescue work. A Rescue 1122 team reached at the scene and pulled out the workers and took them to Mayo Hospital for treatment.
