
The death was allegedly caused by choking as an ajrak, a traditional Sindhi cloth, was found tied around his neck. The boy's father, Ghulam Hyder Rind, claimed that his son has been murdered but the seminary administration insisted Zafar committed suicide.
IG orders action against seminary teacher for beating 10-year-old
In a statement issued on Friday, the chief minister's adviser on religious affairs, Dr Abdul Qayum Soomro, assured the family of his support. "Action will be taken against the suspects once the police get the medical report [of Zafar's cause of death]."
According to Zafar's father, the incident happened on the day his son returned to the seminary after the Eid holidays. He had been enrolled there only four months ago.

"We suspect that he has been killed," he told the local media. "I want to lodge an FIR against the seminary's head," he added.
The family belongs to Rind village in Nindo, a small rural town in Badin district of Sindh.
