AJK POLLS Schedule for Kashmiri refugees announced

RAWALPINDI:  

The Rawalpindi district government has issued polling schedule for Kashmiri refugees living in Rawalpindi ahead of the AJK Legislative Assembly elections scheduled for July 21.

Three constituencies reserved for the Kashmiris — Valley-IV and V and Jammu-VI — fall in the Rawalpindi city.

Around 10 polling stations for LA 39, Valley-IV, have been declared highly sensitive and elaborate security arrangements have been ordered. The total number of legible voters in Valley-IV has been estimated at 3,584. For LA-39, Valley-V, around 18 polling stations have been set up for a total of 36,500 voters. Around 11 polling stations in have been declared sensitive.

In Valley-VI constituency, around 30,000 voters will vote and for them 77 polling stations have been set up in the city. The administration has declared 21 constituencies highly sensitive.

The polling will be held from 8am to 5pm without any break.
