Four Chinese engineers, along with four Pakistani workers, were working on a concrete column at the power house of Extension 4 of Tarbela Dam when it collapsed burying all eight underneath the debris.
The two Chinese engineers were referred to the Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for the treatment of their critical wounds, while the two Pakistanis, identified as Mohsin and Abu Bakar, were admitted at the CMH Tarbela.
PM Nawaz Sharif offered his condolences to the families of the Chinese engineers and directed authorities to make quick arrangements for sending the bodies to their homeland.
