Punjab education minister injured after ceiling fan falls on him

Rana Mashhood neck and legs were wounded after which he was given medical treatment

LAHORE: Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood was injured on Thursday when a ceiling fan fell on him.

The minister's neck and legs were injured as a result of the accident, which took place at his government residence, GOR 1,  in Lahore.

Earlier on April 5, five students died and 13 others were injured when the roof of a madrassa near Geederwala Bypass in Dera Ghazi Khan collapsed on them.

According to Rescue-1122 officials, the roof of the madrassa located on Multan Road collapsed at around 11am.

“The children were studying on the ground floor of the madrassa while construction work was taking place on the first floor. Thirteen children were caught under the rubble,” a Rescue 1122 official said.
