Against defaulters: NAB to accelerate recovery drive   

while 210 out of 255 untraceable defaulters had been tracked down through field surveys

MULTAN: A meeting was held today at NAB Multan to accelerate the recovery drive of electricity defaulters of the Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO). Presided by director general, NAB Multan, Brig (retd), Farooq Naser Awan, the meeting was attended by director, additional director (staff), investigation officers, NAB Multan, superintendent engineer and executive engineers of MEPCO Circle Office, DG Khan. Addressing the participants of the meeting, DG NAB Multan said that electricity of all defaulters would be disconnected, adding that any MEPCO official found involved in any wrongdoing would be taken to task. Earlier, Abbas Anjum Lashari superintendent engineer, DG Khan Circle, while briefing the default recovery position, informed that they had recovered Rs3.63 million from 36 defaulters to date, while 210 out of 255 untraceable defaulters had been tracked down through field surveys.
