
A team of Wildlife & Parks conducted a raid in Choolistan Game Reserve and arrested five poachers and recovered three slaughtered Chinkara deer, a partridge and a hare. A departmental fine of Rs400,000 has been recovered from the accused. District Wildlife Officer Rahim YarKhan Mujahid Kaleem said that acting on a tip-off that five persons were engaged in illegal hunting, he conducted a raid. The accused tried to escape but were chased and intercepted near Chak No 225 Daddi Karam Khatoon. DG Wildlife & Parks Khalid Ayaz Khan said that campaign against illegal hunting will be continued and indiscriminate action will be taken against the persons involved.
