GIK: Ban imposed on use of plastic bags

The administration of Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology has decided to ban the use of plastic bags in the campus. This was stated in a handout issued by the university on Thursday.


As per the document, the ban has been brought into force and all faculty members, officials and cafeteria staff have been told to follow order. The document cited GIK Rector Jehangir Bashar as saying, “The outlets in the campus have complied with the orders by arranging bags made of biodegradable material.”
