Book launch: Saravia highlights Pak-Argentina ties through pictures

The book describes the different joint ventures between Pakistan and Argentina in various fields

A launch event was held the other day for a book by the outgoing Ambassador of Argentina, Rodolfo Martin-Saravia.


“Bonds of Friendship between Argentina and Pakistan (1951-2016)” offers a unique pictorial tour of the 65-year long relationship between Pakistan and Argentina.

The book describes the different joint ventures between Pakistan and Argentina in trade, health, education and other fields.

The book also highlights the services of Ambassador Saravia, whose 12 years as an envoy in Islamabad also saw him become Dean of Diplomatic Corps and get a Hilal-e-Pakistan award from the government in March 2014.

His role in strengthening diplomatic relations with Pakistan, as well as with diplomats from other countries is visible in the book.

Mian Fazal Elahi, publisher of the book, said, “This book has significance for people who want to know about the relations between Argentina and Pakistan from the past to the present.
