From making cane items, paper bags to radio jockeying, Sanjay Dutt has kept himself busy during his time at the Yerawada Central Jail.

But little did we know that the iconic Bollywood actor, who recently walked free after serving about four years prison term, has penned down his life experiences too.

The 56-year-old has written over 500 sher (couplet) with the help of his two inmates and wants to sum up his poetry collection in a book titled Salaakhen.

“I wrote something and I will release the book Salaakhen. We will show it to some people (publishers). Me along with Zeishan Qureshi and Sameer Hingle (inmates) wrote 500 sher. They were with me in radio station. It is all in Hindi,” confirmed Sanjay, reports Hindustan Times.

The Lage Raho Munna Bhai star further revealed that he has written about 100 couplets out of the 500 and also highlighted some real-life instances while being in prison.

“At times I feel surprised that I have actually written this. I remember my wife Manyata had come to meet me once and she was having fever and still she came to see me. I insisted she should come to meet me. I felt very bad after seeing her,” he said.

On the work front, Sanjay's close friend director Rajkumar Hirani is currently working on his biopic.
