Alarming: Dengue larvae found at 51 places

The minister directed all the departments concerned to double their efforts to curb the threat of dengue virus

RAWALPINDI: Health department teams found dengue larvae at 51 places in Rawalpindi district during the last week. Executive District Officer (EDO) Health Dr Arshad Sabir said 483 teams inspected a total of 55,857 places during the last week and found dengue larvae at 51 places. Sabir briefed Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ashfaq Sarwar about the anti-dengue camping in the district on Saturday. The minister directed all the departments concerned to double their efforts to curb the threat of dengue virus. He instructed the EDO-health to ensure availability of anti-dengue vaccine at all public hospitals.
