Public safety : Teenager injured at metro train site

Their bodies were sent to their village in Narowal.

LAHORE: A teenage girl suffered injuries on Monday night as she was hit by a crane operational at the Orange Line Metro Train project site. Police identified the injured girl as Sawera, a grade 9th student. They said she was crossing a road near Daroghawala when the crane hit her. She was moved to the Lahore General Hospital. Police said the crane driver had been taken into custody for interrogation. A construction worker employed at a site near Shalimar had died in an accident a few days ago. He had been identified just as Sharif, 20. Earlier, two workers operating a crane at a site near Ali Town had died after suffering an electric shock. Their bodies were sent to their village in Narowal.
