In solidarity: City govt pledges support for Kashmir cause

The City District Government of Lahore (CDGL) observed the Kashmir Solidarity Day with a pledge to continue to support the Kashmir cause. The district government displayed banners, steamers and flexes on main roads of the city on Friday. Special prayers were offered for the martyrs of Kashmir freedom struggle and victory of freedom fighters after congregational prayers in mosques across the city. Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Jimmat-i-Islami (JI) and held rallies, walk for peace, conferences and seminars to highlight the Kashmiris’ struggle.


Punjab Institute of Language and Culture showcased a photo exhibition to highlight the struggle of Kashmiri people and Indian atrocities in the occupied Kashmir. Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah was the chief guest at the exhibition. Speaking to the media, he paid tribute to the Kashmiris who had lost their lives in the struggle for freedom.  He said every citizen of Pakistan was willing to sacrifice his life for the freedom of Kashmir.
