Celebrations: Jinnah’s birthday, Christmas today

The Christmas carols will precede the prayers service for peace and solidarity

KARACHI: Nation will mark Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Muham-mad Ali Jinnah’s 139th birth anniversary on Friday with fervour and zeal. A change of guard ceremony will be held at the mausoleum of the father of the nation. The cadets of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul will assumed the guard’s duty at the Mazar. Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad along with Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and members of the provincial cabinet will visit the mausoleum to place wreaths and offer Fateha. Meanwhile, the Christian community across the country would celebrate Christmas with enthusiasm. Festivities commenced on midnight with services in all the churches in the country. The Christmas carols will precede the prayers service for peace and solidarity.
