Skilled Manpower: TEVTA to start course on painting

The curricula will be jointly developed by the TEVTA and Berger Paints

LAHORE: The Technical Educational and Vocational Authority (TEVTA) would start a course titled Industrial Painter to provide skilled manpower to the paint industry, TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said on Monday. He was speaking at a ceremony to sign an MoU with Berger Paints at the TEVTA Secretariat.  He said the paint industry had seen an immense growth in Pakistan but no training had been launched to provide skilled force for the sector. He said that after industrial painter, the TEVTA would start courses related to sales, marketing and communication skills. The current course would be started at the TEVTA Institute in Lahore. This would be expanded to other cities, Sheikh said. The curricula will be jointly developed by the TEVTA and Berger Paints. The Punjab Board of Technical Education will hold examination and issue certificates to the pass-outs.
