The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is likely to issue the official notification of results of the local government elections held on December 5 in Rawalpindi.
District Returning Officer Javed Khan Afridi will send the complete record to the ECP today (Monday) and the commission would notify the result in the official gazette in two days.
Meanwhile, by-elections in constituencies where the polling could not be held on December 5 will take place on December 30.
By-elections will be held for the seat of chairmen in union councils (UCs) 16 and 98 and for general councillors in UCs 18, 45 and 102.
Elections could not be held in 18 UCs on Dec 5. Schedule for by-polls in 16 UCs will be issued after courts decide cases related to delimitation in these UCs.
