Gas pipeline explosion injures eight in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: At least eight people including two women were injured as a gas pipeline at the Laraib Inn hotel located in G-9 Markaz, Islamabad, exploded early on Tuesday morning, Express News reported.

According to initial reports, leakage from a gas pipeline at the hotel led to the explosion.

Bomb Disposal Squad was rushed to the site soon after the explosion to inspect and investigate the cause of the blast. An official who inspected the site said "no traces of gunpowder were found."

The injured were shifted to PIMS hospital for treatment.

Rescue efforts were under way till the filing of this report.

This hotel is near my house about 1 minute walk, there was just gas explosion nothing else. I saw by my own eyes.

Gas leakege ke waja se howa or ye G-9/4 mai waqaye hain.
