Talking to The Express Tribune, Muzaffargarh health adviser Sheikh Rashid, who has taken charge of his office, said his responsibilities included heading a complaint cell where people take lodge complaints related to public health facilities. He said health advisors will monitor inquiries and coordinate the findings with the district administration to address public grievances. He said health advisors will coordinate their activities with the district coordination officers concerned. Rashid said a complete schedule of their responsibilities will soon be provided by the provincial government.  He said he had been instructed by the government to prioritise rural areas as healthcare facilities over there don’t usually get due attention.  The health advisors will be provided with transport and a liaison officer for their work.
