The incident came to light when a passerby spotted the body in the Gulberg area of Koral and informed the local police who shifted it to the Polyclinic Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The deceased, identified as 32-year-old Halima, had gone missing from her home two weeks ago. The case of her disappearance was also registered with the Koral police station.
