ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali has summoned a meeting of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday to discuss the elevation of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Faisal Arab.

The commission is set to discuss the elevation of Justice Arab to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Currently, 16 judges are working in the SC, and after the elevation the strength will be completed.

Judicial matters: Nine SHC judges sworn in

Justice Arab is the head of special tribunal, which is hearing high treason case against former military ruler Pervez Musharraf.

Legal experts believe after the elevation of Justice Arab, the tribunal may be dissolved.
