KARACHI:

The Sindh government's anti-corruption department confiscated three-years records from Abbasi Shaheed Hospital during a raid on Monday.

The team conducted a raid at the hospital's administration and accounts departments. "We are working on the direction of the Sindh High Court, which gave us a two-month deadline to scrutinise the public and health sectors," said anti-corruption department director Nazar Muhammad Bodar while talking to The Express Tribune. "The records we seized pertained to the procurement and recruitment [of employees] and service provisions," he explained.

Bozdar said that this is an ongoing process, as earlier they conducted raids at Civil hospital and the Sindh Government Hospital in Liaquatabad, adding that the anti-corruption officials only seized records and did not arrest anyone. "It will take at least 10 days to scrutinise the records and we will then arrest the officials concerned if anyone is found guilty," he explained.
