Mujtaba Gilani submits papers for by-polls

Mujtaba Gilani and four other candidates submitted their candidature documents for contesting by-elections for PP-206 on Friday.

Mujtaba Gilani is the brother of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.

Gilani was given a ticket by the PPP for this consituency in a meeting of the PPP's central executive council earlier.

PP-206 in Jalalpur Peer Wala was vacated when Naghma Mushtaq Lang resigned from the seat.

With a total of 160,000 registered voters in the constituency, the by-polls will be held on June 5.

112 polling stations and 327 polling booths will be set up for the purpose.
